Daily Update (LG Nest) Sunday, May 23 2010

Odin came back to eat the left overs. He is eating on the nest in case EJ wants more. She is softly peeping and brooding the chicks and egg,.

Maybe chick #2 was not fully hatched and that is why EJ didn't want to get up to take  the fish  

Cannae believe it!  I go out to feed the birds and the second LG chick arrives.  Magic! :-)

For a few minutes it looked like Odin was trying to push EJ off the egg and chicks .

I am happy he went fishing early today. Poor thing He looks lost as to his role now. 

Morning everyone, bit earlier today to find out that we have chick no 2 (is it confirmed) if so that is fantastic.

At present EJ alert and looking round, maybe she would like a second fish now that the new arrival is out of the shell.

Is it raining at LG or just early morning mist because at LOTL it is really a soggy Lady you see protecting the young.

logged on tho get a peep at our fisrt chick only to read news ofthe second hatching, How quick was that.Hope the third comes quite qickly also.

pecking order may be quite interesting this year if there's only going to be a day(s) beween the three of them.  Hope Odin feeling fit. He'has a lot of fishing to do for the next few weeks.  Hopethis weather continues for good fishing conditions.

And there they go again along with radio chaffinch - such sweet birdsong.

Oh my ... looked in for a quick check on chick one ... to find we now have 2! I hope chick 3 arrives tomorrow otherwise it may be VERY low in the pecking order poor thing. Reading through the posts there has been a fish delivery too ... wonderful.
