Thought I'd start a separate thread for the posting of news, updates, pictures etc. from the nest at the Loch of the Lowes. Now that the first chick has hatched at Loch Garten the Daily Update page is going to get too unwieldy if it is used for news from LotL as well as LG, and the "News From Other Nests" is getting pretty full as well.
Thanks Margo and obviously to Nick for writing such a beautiful poem.
Thanks Margobird for posting Nick's poem!
Do we have any info yet as to whether they have migrated along with Laird. Can't see anything on the main blog for today but may have missed a posting on previous blogs.
All quiet

Lynette can't see anything about sightings today. I believe the Laird was seen the day before yesterday and Rinchen one the osprey team though he may have see the youngsters yesterday but is not sure.

Checked the main blog on the SWT site and the cam appears to be down again.

Looking in. Rinchen has done an update on migration but as yet no confirmation that Laird and the two chicks have started theirs. Time will tell.
Thanks for that lovely pic of the barn owls Wrinklie they are just gorgeous. I always have a look each time I log in. Should think they will be ready to leave soon but they may be waiting for the weather to improve before they do so. Wet and horrible in West today and last evening so I hope the parents have been able to drop food for them.
Hi Lynette I have the feeling that perhaps they have already left but what a time to choose if they have with all the wind. I worry about them being blown off course.
Hi all
The LOTL blog says that the Laird returned briefly to the nest today, so if he is still about, maybe the youngsters are as well - and there have been sightings of the youngsters recently as mentioned by Rinchen (That man's blog posts are superb)
Still, would be nice to see them again wouldn't it?
