Thought I'd start a separate thread for the posting of news, updates, pictures etc. from the nest at the Loch of the Lowes. Now that the first chick has hatched at Loch Garten the Daily Update page is going to get too unwieldy if it is used for news from LotL as well as LG, and the "News From Other Nests" is getting pretty full as well.

Warning! This post contains atrocious spelling, and terrible grammar. Approach with extreme edginess.
Can't get cam up at the moment, have to go out so will catch up later.

Hi Lynette.
The cam's back on now. Couldn't get it myself for a couple of minutes, so I reckon it was probably just a sotware update, or something.
Its went down again. I guess I'll just have to watch Cam 2, for a while.

Pleased so much to see that everything on the nest looks 'normal' now, and that life for this osprey family goes on as usual. We never would have believed that statement a few days ago, would we?
Many thanks to Alan for repeating Shirleys lovely poem - I especially like the last line " touched the hearts of many.......etc"

The poem by Shirley was so touching Lindybird, brought a tear to my eye I can tell you.
As I type Lady is sitting calling the Laird despite the fact it is not long since he came with a fish. both youngsters flourising and the diary says they will probably be fledging in a couple of weeks and it will be a very emotional time for them. Who would have thought last Saturday that she would still be with us.
Afternoon Lindybird it was such a lovely poem. I think it would have brought tears to many eyes, it certainly did to mine. How wonderful to be able to write poetry, your poems are always so good too.
I am still amazed at her recovery as I think they are at Loch of the Lowes. At the moment she is sitting calling the Laird even though she has not long had a fish, so completely back in nagging form, so good to see. Have just read the diary and they are saying it is going to be a very emotional time for them this year when the youngsters fledge, probably in a couple of weeks time, It will probably be her last breeding season but what a season she has given us.
A few moments ago it was .showing the two looking over the nest, looking hot. Lady is still calling from time to time. They are showing Laird on his tree at the moment.
Talking about the poem by Shirley, I have managed to email it to myself as I can't copy it to another folder. Hope to keep it to remind us of what happened.
It was so beautiful
Hi Lynette I too have saved that poem by Shirley as a keepsake and a wonderful tribute to a very beautiful osprey.
the Laird still sitting on his perch and he is never far from his family is he.
