Well another day begins with the night-time. EJ is fidgiting again and rolling the eggs although the chicks sound quiet now and Lady at LOTL is having a moment - fidgiting a bit but now settled down.
All you early watchers I hope you find that EJ's 1st chick will have hatched. Capture it if you can and we will find out in the morning.
Goodnight all.

Odin brings in a fish.
Certainly am Lindy, Isn't it clever that a day old chick starts crawling towards the fish. Clever thing. It's a girl!!
Everything in life is speaking in spite of its apparent silence.
7.20 Odin brings fish EJ feeds chick Odin seems transfixed by chick!!!
Another fish ... well done Odin! EJ takes it straight away and starts feeding the chick ... who is trying to climb out of the nest bowl to the fish :-) Odin stands around like a spare part and then departs.

I agree tish - has to be a girl !!
Odin just delivered another fish. He stood there for a while as if he wanted to sit on his eggs. He watched EJ feed the chick and then flew off
Thanks Odin we can all rest easy now that they have been fed
EJ must be really hungry as she is devouring that fish quite quickly
The little one had a problem. It grabbed a piece of fish that was still in EJ's beak and was dragged out of the nest cup
EJ is back on the eggs and has left quite a bit of the fish for later

Great pic as usual Joan. Odins face is priceless!! And the baby going to fish is remarkable!!
I can't quite believe that a chick that isn't 24 hours old is actually crawling around like that ... I thought the nest cup was too deep!
Remember, the girls have bigger feet. Can't say I have checked chick No !'s feet yet.
EJ decided that was enough food for now, and has left the rest for later!
