Daily Update (LG Nest) Friday 21st May

EJ has just had another egg turning session.  Clarity of night vision is much better.

We await in anticipation, today could be the day!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Wonder what sex the 1st egg will be?? !   Trouble is, we won't know for a long time yet.

Tish - I'm with you, have had a glass of wine and know what? all of a sudden doing the dishes after dinner seems very unimportant :-)) But yes, it could be a long night, I have been gardening and then checking computer, and so on and so on. Like many of us, I would guess!!

Cheers Heather.  I'll see you later tonight.  The whole country must be mad.  Although when I speak to folk and mention the Ospreys they look at me like I'm mad. (I am a wee bit)  Maybe I just speak to the wrong people.  Ah. well far prefer birds and beasts  to people most of the time!  You know where you are !Maybe that wine was a tad too early!1

Everything in life is speaking in spite of its apparent silence.

  • EJ is shouting - is it a food solicit?

  • Popped in for a quick look while doing other things ... I reckon if I do things now I'll have more time to look tomorrow! EJ's started calling ... I suppose that must mean Odin's around ... but I doubt if he's brought another fish. Stay put EJ ... Odin wouldn't know what to do if the egg started to hatch!

  • Stunning close ups from LOTL.  How strong is the little 'Ospring' holding its head up and moving around.

Her comes Odin and EJ flies off.  Odin looking rather bemused but head towards the eggs he;s lingering don't think he likes the egg talking to him.  He's backing off now.

All I ask is the chance to prove that money can't make me happy.

Tish - I am also a wee bit mad, but, and this is the important bit - I know it !!  Don't know how long I will be able to stay on night duty, also camera is not so good at night. Wish these little chicks were programmable. (Sorry if that sounds flippant)

  • Odin back on the nest so missed something and blow me donl;t the talking eggs start up when Dad arrives.  He def. is not keen on them!!  It's hilarious watching him!! He so wants to leave the nest and the talking thing.  Re-arranging furniture now.  Poor old Odin!

  • Odin arrives ... bearing no gifts ... EJ immediately flies off and Odin stands looking around, inspects the eggs, moves a twig ... he looks rather startled! Is that cheeping coming from the eggs??? Odin still hasn't sat on the eggs ... most unusual for him.
