Evening all. Good grief. We already have color at LG. EJ is on the nest; all looks peaceful.
Lynette: You asked Gary where he's located. He did answer you the first time around (Saturday?), but seems you either missed it or the posts got messed up. Anyway, you asked again yesterday and Emma responded; then Gary responded again (he said he wasn't ignoring you!). Anyway, Gary is in Connecticut in the Eastern U.S., but he's a Brit, like me! (Sorry if this all sounds complicated)
EJ started helping with the fishing because Keeping 5 birds fed was a bit much even for Odin the magnificent
I recall a couple of times when he came to the nest with a fish while EJ was gone. The chicks were food begging for him to feed them and he just stood there looking around as if to say " Now what do I do?" LOL
These birds are priceless!!

I remember that too BarbaraJean - the look on Odin's face was laughable. EJ just gone for a quick exercise flight.
EJ just completed a 60 second exercise flight and gave a nice chirp to the eggs when she returned
In the absence of anything more dramatic to watch, here she is returning and having a nice sit and preene

Just enjoyed your video Gary. Many thanks - live footage like that certainly makes a difference. Wish Odin would hurry up with first fish !!
Does anyone know how long it takes for a chick to chip it's way out of the shell?
EJ is doing a lot of fidgeting . She probably feels chick #1 ( or more) rocking around in the shell
Morning all! Just logged on and EJ on the nest and calling. What does she see? Now she's up - it's Odin WITH A FISH! Hurray. EJ grabs it and - off she goes.
EJ off with biggish fish, minus head
Terry in Cumbria
EJ calling madly and Odin flies in with headless fish. Lovely communication between them, EJ flies off to eat and Odin settles down on the eggs and just might do a bet of furniture arranging.

Morning Annette. What a great timing you have. That was a good size fish as well
What a quick typist Annette!
