Hi all: Thanks for chat and Ernie info - don't forget to read the last few posts of last week to catch up on folks.
Brenda: My sister has been to the Chelsea Flower Show several times and has always loved it. Do hope the weather is kind on your day.
Patriciat: How nice that people were so generous with your fund-raising efforts. Good for you - you must have a winning way!!
dibnlib: Thanks for spelling out Ernie's "real" name. Doesn't sound half as much fun as his more familiar name. Actually, I remember now - Premium Bonds - they were being sold when I was still in the UK. I think my sister also has some that she bought way back when....
Emma: Painting is done - although just noticed a smudge of Pot of Cream (the paint) on a wood ceiling beam. How did it get there!! Took all the blue painter's tape off the glass panes this afternoon and put the hardware back on and it looks pretty nice. Do need to do some tidying up where paint trickled under the tape and also onto the hinges a bit, but all pretty minimal.
Have been keeping tabs on Trucker Steve, whose cat has an eye problem. He's going to take her to the vet. He's got a hard trip this time - three days of 11 hours a day to the next stop in Wisconsin. He's in Montana now, where it's well into the evening.
Off to see how EJ is doing. Have a nice Sunday morning all.
Morning all ... sunny day here too and no wind ... yet!
Clearing up day today after the new boiler ... no secret to the one-day finish ... just very efficient workmen who worked late so they could get it all done! No coffee or lunch breaks, they ate & drank while working!
Diane - how wonderful to see a red fox like that ... lucky you. The peregrine banding was awful ... it should have been done with the minimum of stress for the birds. People should have watched it on camera from another location.
AQ - lovely pics from your trip ... I wouldn't have been attempting that climb either
Cirrus - your holiday sounds brilliant ... all that wildlife to see ... I was on Mull twice ... once en route to Iona, and once on a bus tour of the island, and it is a very beautiful place.
Off to start the clearing up now ... with one ear on the nest of course!
Joan - avid bird and nature watcher in Northumberland!

Hey, where is Margobird?? I'm sure she should be back by now. Wonder if she got held up at the airport?
One of 'those moments' Annette - how outstanding to see the whale breach. So pleased for you.
Good Morning, Hope you are all enjoying the beautiful sunny morning.
Well done DjoanS in finding such efficient installers of your new boiler. If only they were all like that.
Diane, I hope that the people involved with the peregrine banding, realize that it was a terrible mistake and that the whole exercise is stressfull enough for the birds without being part of a circus. I hope your red fox is still around.
AQ, Brilliant rock pictures.
Off to do some gardening now.
Lindybird - only just caught up with your bear cub pic - it took me a few seconds to realise it wasn't a dog !!!!! Then of course , I 'got it' and had a good laugh.
AQ- sounds like you had a rollicking good adventure ! Great pics- thank you.
Cirrus Welcome back to the forum. Hope you had a good holiday.
Tiger Signature
Indeed Tiger, thank you - might even post a pic or two myself - later and strictly scenery,
Meanwhile, I did have the very good fortune to have good and long sightings of both Juvenile Goldies and an adult White Tailed Eagle. For my eyes only of course - not a photo on my miserable digital cam - not having the the thousands and thousands of pounds of professional equipment or the expertise of Simon King, I just feasted my eyes.
NEW BLOG from David Anderson.
Glad to report that Margobird is back and is fine, she will no doubt tell of her Venice trip on here soon. Welcome back!
Yes, noticed her on the Diary Page. Lovely to see you back Margo.
