Evening all. Quiet on the nest.
Odin returns to see off the intruder - his alarm call is extraordinary. Great to see him so resilient in defending his mate, the nest and the eggs.
They certainly form a strong team when threatened. EJ now sitting quietly on the nest.
All looks calm on the nest. EJ looks stunning in the late evening sunlight:

Sandy I do agree with you. I found I was paying more attention to his call, than to the action.
I too, was struck by the clear note of his loud call. Very obviously both an alarm and a warning.
Great photo, Sandy.
9:30 pm and it's still light enough at LG to see EJ on the nest:
Ej calling very softly. I think she's talking to the eggs. Just about to loose colour.
Smiles, Jan.
Been watching EJ chirp quietly. Thought Odin was about but she's quiet again. Switched to night vision. (the camera, not me!! LOL)
Just as I was thinking how light it is, the colour goes off. So I've missed all the excitement, thank goodness for all the comments.

I won't be around tomorrow, so I hope you see at least a couple of fish deliveries and no intruders. Good Night.
