OK. So we're keeping a special eye out for Odin this morning..... Cirrus: I remember Odin bringing fish very early when I was watching the chicks last year - it's much lighter earlier then so that may account for it. jsb: Thanks for the info re EJ's (non-)returning chicks. BIrds must be a lot like us: We love to see our kids but aren't too keen on having them move back in and taking over the house.
If another male is trying to take over the nest and EJ that may be why Odin had not gone fishing. He is staying around to protect the nest
This may also be why EJ has not called him to go fishing.
I hope the center clears some of this up

Another pic of Odin - I always look for his very white chest, but also he has the 'splotch' of feathers which are darker, lower down.
What is happening now Is that Odin with a fish but EJ isn't impressed. I've left the car running cos I heard her squeaks> What is going on here!!
Everything in life is speaking in spite of its apparent silence.
Thery've had a tiff. Odin has just flown off with the headless fish!!
Something is wrong with EJ.!!
Odin brought a big headless fish and she refused to get up to take it. She chirped but would not get up.
He stood there for quite a while and finally flew away with the fish
How strange ... Odin with a fish and EJ doesn't move

Yes I got a capture of him leaving with the fish, but it is very blurred.
