OK guys, I think EJ will be on her own tonight. We have some friends by the house and will pop in when I can.....but also need to get some rest after a somewhat frustrating day. EJ on the nest and all is well at this point.

original glodfinch perhaps it is a ploy on his behalf, let EJ go fishing and I can have a long time sitting on the eggs and she might even bring back a bit of supper for me as well.

She's back already. "Sigh, I suppose I'll have to get off now."

EJ comes back and demands her eggs back. Odin leaves, and EJ does some gentle 'peeps' to her eggs...
Wonder if that was enough time for EJ to get to the fish farm for a quick snack ?? If she did, there was nothing left to bring back to Odin.
