OK guys, I think EJ will be on her own tonight. We have some friends by the house and will pop in when I can.....but also need to get some rest after a somewhat frustrating day. EJ on the nest and all is well at this point.
They are bound to be very special birds, the offspring of two special parents.
Saw EJ looking around and she flew off and Odin flew in to take over his shift. I think I have this right but correct me if it was EJ who came back quickly.
Margobird
EJ suddenly stood up, stretched and flew off. She must have seen Odin approach, as I'm pretty sure that its him on the nest now - he arrived without a fish (just after she left) so maybe she's gone fishing now.
Slightly unusual changeover with EJ flying off and Odin returning to an empty nest to do his bit on the eggs.
Just logged on to see Odin on the nest. I wonder if there has been a fish delivery or if it's just a comfort break?

I was in doubt, Margobird, as it was all so quick! She flew off into the distance (could see her getting smaller & smaller) & next thing, Odin arrived with a flourish and a quick 'peep' to the eggs!
EDIT: No fish : - (( DjoanS.
Thanks Lindybird, my question answered :)
If she has gone to catch her own supper, that will give him a good long turn on the eggs!!
Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!
Well, that's him happy then! Think he'd rather incubate than fish! At least its stopped raining so chance for EJ to catch something for her own supper.
Sandy I was watching EJ and I think Odin was around as she was looking as though she could see him.
