OK guys, I think EJ will be on her own tonight. We have some friends by the house and will pop in when I can.....but also need to get some rest after a somewhat frustrating day. EJ on the nest and all is well at this point.
EJ still on the nest, softly calling.
That dreaded ping, pong, plop, dlop noise as the rain starts again at LG. EJ has flattened herself on the nest as if to protect the little ones.
Here she is:
(can you see the raindrops on her wings?)
Rain appears to have stopped, it was only light thank goodness. EJ keeping her eyes peeled now for signs of Odin coming.
Rain again now. EJ sits tight.
Poor EJ soaking wet again and flattened herself on the nest. Has she just had 1 fish today?
Margobird
Sounds like it, Margobird. I've only come on here since 4.00pm. There have been problems with the site again today.
EDIT; Rain has nearly stopped again, for now.
Thanks Lindybird I had trouble on all blogs earlier this afternoon and at one point even the cam, think gremlins in again. Won't get to see much tomorrow off to the ballet in the afternoon and will have to get chores done in the morning. Can only hope Odin will bring her some supper if indeed she has only had 1 fish today. As you say rain stopped but she looked a sorry sight sitting with her head down on the nest. Wish the blessed weather would settle down now.
Enjoy the ballet, Margobird. (tell us about it after, on the Weekly thread!)
At least the bad weather is getting over with before the little ones hatch, wonder if it will be 3 girls again?
Will do Lindybird.
I suppose it is better to have the rough weather now and I wonder whether it will be 3 girls again. EJ and Odin seemed to dote on their daughters last year and what little beauties they turned out to be.
