Hi all: Am getting "server error" messages all the time; hope it clears up. Does not appear to be affecting posts.
Gary posted the following link at the end of yesterdays page. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-cWsKzSZcuQ . For anyone who missed it, there was an intruder on the nest yesterday and Gary also posted several links to videos showing one of the incidents.
I just signed on again; nest was empty, but EJ immediately there - must've gone for a little stretch.
Yes, Barbara Jean, Odin does have a purposeful look on his face :) I agree
Got a hospital appointment this morning then visiting someone in distress but will be 'popping in' now and again so thanks for all the posts inadvance , especially fish reports, and any pics.
EJ is back chatting to Odin, telling of her morning LOL
Odin gets up, EJ settles on eggs as he flies off.
Morning, All. EJ sitting happily on the nest. Slightly gusty wind blowing, but appears sunny and bright.
Have to agree with Barbara Jean, (see above) that when Odin is egg sitting, he has such a comically purposeful look - " this is my job & don't mess with me" ...
EDIT; 'Server Error' message is still appearing as described previously, but your post will still appear.
Just had some really strong gusts of wind. EJ is sitting tight. Good job they built that nest deep.
Grabbed a pic from the stills camera of EJ:
Good Morning ALL and thank you for all your earlier observations.
Just caught Odin visiting the nest and leaving again.
When Odin is in the eggs other passing males would know he is sitting on HIS eggs. Maybe the smug look on his face is " Eat your hearts out fellas. I have what it takes to claim the best female and nest in the area" LOL
Formerly known as Barbara Jean
I missed a change to Odin nest sitting and have just seen EJ return, with what looks like a block of wood. Odin forced off eggs and he leaves.
Just logged on to find EJ having a furniture rearranging session - looks contented though. I expect Odin has been in and fed her by now. Big chunk of moss or something being moved into place. Very windy still at LG
