Hi all: Getting a late start here today. Been busy in the garden all day and now working on getting some of the glue out of the corners of the panes in the French door, so have back to computer.
Previous Weekly Chat's last page included long chatty posts from Lindybird and OG, a link from Djoan to the BOT Barn Owls, which have their first egg, and a colorful greeting from Diane to AQ who's having a birthday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY AQ! :-)
Sorry if this is duplicated somewhere. A bit about Pale Male and Lola on Marie Winn's blog:

Afternoon all,
ChloeB : Thanks for the update on Pale Male and Lola.
Heron77: I hope the right job opportunity turns up for you soon. It cant be easy in this climate of uncertainty to find appropriate work.
Everyone else : Thanks for the chat pics links etc.
Noticeable quieter on here today. Lady P and I went to Stamford this morning for a walk around the shops. It was noticeably busier than normal in the town and I also noticed that there was a craft fair at Burghley House so that probably attracted more people in. Had a light lunch in a cafe and came home. Just finished taking Hamish out for a walk and later we are going out to a barbecue at LadyP s daughters house.
Weather is sunny spells. Temp 13.8c. Cooler than of late.
First hatching for Derby peregrines:

Morning all Just a quick hallo before I trundle off to friends' garage sale - don't intend to bring anything home! Anything that doesn't go today I'll deliver to the storage container at Alpha, a local charity. Other stuff we have will go to the consignment shop, which needs side tables, etc. (Oh boy - we have side tables for side tables from various houses. :-) Lovely day here, though wind is expected again.... Sounds like everyone is out shopping or gardening or socializing. Have fun. Back later!
Afternoon all. Went to a Garden Centre this morning ... needed replacement shrubs for those that didn't survive the winter. Needless to say we came away with more than we intended, but had a good time!
Alan - thanks for the derby peregrines info ... I checked earlier this morning & the blog said they were expecting the chick today. I just had a look and could see the white fluff poking out from under mum ... ahhhh :))
Thanks to everyone for chat etc.

Derby peregrines second (or possibly third?) egg is hatching NOW!
Sandy - watching it now.
Tiger - Shame you had rain but you have seen the ISS before ;)) We had a band of cloud but it was higher, not on the horizon.Anyway, OH will come out with me tonight to see it again, now I know what I'm looking for, and it will be brighter and higher in the sky. Slightly gloomy today, light rain, so hope it is gone by 22:33.

Just heard on our local tv news that the Kielder ospreys have 3 eggs :))
Hi DjoanS. Great news about the Kielder nest - you ought to put that on the "News from other nests" thread.
Thanks Sandy - have just done that!
