Hi all: Getting a late start here today. Been busy in the garden all day and now working on getting some of the glue out of the corners of the panes in the French door, so have back to computer.
Previous Weekly Chat's last page included long chatty posts from Lindybird and OG, a link from Djoan to the BOT Barn Owls, which have their first egg, and a colorful greeting from Diane to AQ who's having a birthday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY AQ! :-)
Thank you Diane for a very cheerful "card" - So it was you who sent the welcome rain with the rainbow, right? Thank you too Annette. Wee quiches and Anzac biccies all ready for a'tea, not forgetting the mudcake. Now awaiting our daus plus. Maybe I should sample the mudcake, just to check it is as good as it looks, hm?
Oh definitely sample the mudcake. If it's not up to par, you'll have to keep it at home to struggle through later! :-)) Have a nice time with the family.
Very Happy Birthday Aquilareen! Have a wonderful day

AQ: I wish I could send you some rain, we've had plenty today. Have a wonderful time with your family!
Ah, Annette, removing glue. That doesn't sound like fun. You work awfully hard, my friend. Big Rig Steve was in Champaign, Illinois, which is not far from me. I thought he might come through this area on his next trip, but he went south instead -- and drove into the bad storms. Poor guy.
DjoanS: Thanks for posting the owl update. I got a look at the egg tonight. It seems bigger to me than last year's egg. Probably just my poor memory. But yay for the owls! OG: I really liked that yellowhammer picture. I'd never heard of them. They're lovely.
For people who like to watch Pete's Pond: The webcam is back up. It was down for some time because the camera was damaged during a big storm there.
Hey Diane; Yes, I thought of you when I looked at Steve's route. Hope the weather is better (haven't been following anyone's forecast I'm afraid). Just on the last pane of glass now; then OH can do the sanding!
Actually, this isn't bad - I've got an exacto knife and tweezers and it's just a question of loosening the glue at one point, then sort of easing it up. But have been working hard today; not sure what I'll do tomorrow!
I say you should sit in the garden, relax, eat smooshy avocados, and read a good book! I hear that even God rested on Sunday. LOL
Ok, I'm outta here. Storming a bit, so I have to shut down the internet machine. Be good to yourself, Annette. Everyone have a great day!
Bye Diane, stay safe :)
Night Diane: I'm off too - just finished the door. I happen to have some smooshy avocados on hand, so may consider the garden and a good book tomorrow. Was going to the gym, but maybe just for a token workout since I've been going since 9 this morning. Thanks for the info on Pete's Pond.
Take care all; have a nice Sunday.
