Hi all: Getting a late start here today. Been busy in the garden all day and now working on getting some of the glue out of the corners of the panes in the French door, so have back to computer.
Previous Weekly Chat's last page included long chatty posts from Lindybird and OG, a link from Djoan to the BOT Barn Owls, which have their first egg, and a colorful greeting from Diane to AQ who's having a birthday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY AQ! :-)
Good morning and good night Auntie! Take care.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, AQUILAREEN! The mud cake sounds good, send some over will you.
We are presently eating various odd and ends from the deep freeze, as it has to be defrosted and cleaned out ready for the onslaught of this years produce from the allotment and hedgerows. Eating the last of the icecream today, as that does not keep when put temporarily into a coolbox, which is what I do with the dregs of the containers when I'm ready to start work on the project. Nice excuse to have icecream and raspberries when supposed not to be having dessert!
Sat in bed this morn with cuppa, and watched the energetic among us starting the London Marathon. Thankfully its not hot and sunny there, as was feared, but is just pleasantly warm and slightly showery. I'm always in awe of the achievement not just of the speed of the elite athletes, but the determination of those ordinary folk who do it for charities. Perhaps it will give us a break from the endless politics during the News bulletins. Some of the athletes seem to have had a marathon already, just getting to London during the air plane ban.
Warm but showery all over Britian today, so hope the birds keep dry, and have a Good Day All.
Morning all ,
AQ : Happy birthday.
Everyone else thanks for the overnight chat etc.
I have been compiling a UK ospreys nesting calendar. If there is anything incorrect or missing please let me know:
Happy Birthday Aquilareen, Hope you enjoy your day and the MUD CAKE.
Up to a couple of years ago, my OH and I used to have to run around the marathon course with the special drinks for our son & his wife, and our daughter ! Now they do the triathlon !! We usually feel as though we have taken part by the end of the day.
SOME FLOWERS FOR AQ, FROM MY GARDEN:
-they are called Snake's Head Fritillaries, and are only small. Can you spot the bee, in the centre?

Alan That is exactly what we been needing. Very good indeed.
Interesting the gap between the eggs is almost always 3 days with the exception of Tweed Valley where there was a four day gap between the third and fourth eggs. Perhaps that one was on special order.
AQ Happy birthday.

My washing machine just beeped at me, ironing mission abandoned earlier, as steam iron ejected rusty water on the curtains, now to extract same from w. m. and check the damage.
Fingers crossed. I am tempted to start a blog, solely dedicated to ironing, which could be quite popular with some people on here. (only joking though.) ;o))
