Evening all: Gary and AQ were watching until about 2 a.m. UK time. I'm late starting! EJ is on the nest with just the barest, faintest, slightest hint of the morning over the hills
EJ back happily chirping - hope it lasts once Odine leaves lol. Odin gets a shunt and he reluctantly rises to let her down. He flies off
All I ask is the chance to prove that money can't make me happy. Spike Milligan
Wasn't that lovely? A lot of gentle chirping, and a nudge, and they even seemed to touch beaks at one point. He set off looking as if on a mission - more fish perhaps?
Oi! It's my turn on the eggs!
Linda - what a romantic your are : )
I see from a blog from Izzie, that David is now saying that the intruder was a female looking for a new nest.
Gary, thank you for the video. You have all had a very dramatic afternoon since I had to leave, so thank you for all the news and pictures.
Heres part of David Blog where he says it was probably a male:
"Odin has to fly up to ten miles to fish and would most likely be well out of earshot when the intruder came to the nest so there is no way he would have known. I also think the intruder was a male judging by the colouring on his front. The intruder mainly styed on the camera tree, but when he did venture to the nest EJ swiftly saw to him and that was that."
EDIT - Sorry Brenda, A new blog, sorry I was stuck on yesterdays.
Just came back from my run to see Odin fly off and EJ settled.
Brenda, you are right, it's been quite a day. I was delayed by 2 hours with all the drama. Thanks for all the screen shots and Lindy, love the thought of them touching beaks:)
It seems a day for intruders as the Welsh nest at Glaslyn have had some bother as well today.
LG now seem to think intruder was a female!!

That is fine, Soosin. I don't know how any of you coped this afternoon. It was so dramatic just to read later, when it was all over.
