After a stressful day (intruders whom we didn't see, concerns* re the health of her eggs) look what the wonderful EJ just presented us with (it looked like a slideshow due to the pausy stream, hence a video would not do her justice)... necessitating a new DU without delay.
*EJ's concerns, not ours, which were unrelated and due to the eggs being left exposed longer than some of us would like.
Ten snaps! And I've deleted some too! Chronological order.

EJ is calling
Birdie Num Num's brilliant DU summary 2017
EJ is alternating between nodding and calling for fish.
Good morning again!

It was EJ who was concerned about her eggs - this was the story concocted to explain her behaviour:
EJ felt a twinge in her underparts, she got up and flapped and checked said underparts. She thought that the cause might lay in the area of the nestcup, so she fetched a big strip of sanitising bark and laid it over the eggs, then swept a little clump of moss over an egg too, for good measure. Satisfied, she settled down.
I'm just going to look thru the missed early hours.
A crescendo of calling finished with EJ turning her eggs.

Well this is a new one! I switched off the recorder before I went to sleep :-/ So I have nothing.
BIRDIE?! Your presence is required ;-D
I though that Mike answered it well. The only concern was that the eggs were left unattended for 25 minutes, but it was a warm day, so no harm done.
The weather is warming up, EJ is panting
I left the area at 0500am this morning and it was already 11 degrees what a luxury indeed. by the time I reached Edinburgh at 0700am it was a miserable 9 degrees. I think EJ is getting the best weather today. Tuesday is forecast to be an absolute scorcher up there.
Odin has landed with more bark
EJ has flown, after scolding him.
