A new month and lots to look forward to as we eagerly await these precious eggs which Maya and Blue 33(11) have devotedly protected, hatch!
For anyone new and just starting to watch the Rutland Manton Bay Webcam, here is a brief summary of the 2016 season so far:
The resident female, Maya returned 21 March. Her mate Blue 33(11) returned 27 March. Maya has laid three eggs, #1 on 4 April, #2 on 7 April and #3 on 10 April. Maya and 33(11) are currently sharing incubating duties and we should see a hatch around the second week in May.
Happy viewing

Thank you and good morning Karen. I've not seen any movement in terms of the camera checking the eggs yet.

Agree Mike, I too expect the cam will zoom in. I have noticed a couple of times that the cam goes down when they zoom in :-(. It did when Maya laid the eggs and I just hope this doesn't happen during hatching.
As I type, Maya has just had another check. LOL she is listening and we are all watching :-D
Hi Karen and Mike.
It was hard to tell from the cam who was incubating Karen, as sitting with back to us, as you reported 33 incubating I presumed it was he himself who was still on the eggs LOL....
Oh No you didn't ROTFL.... I need to go to Specsavers.
Oh dear I really am not with it this morning.....
LOL Mary ... perhaps another coffee :-D
No, it is hard to tell sometimes when they have their backs to us.
33 has been in. Maya remained on the eggs as he fiddled with a stick and then he flew off.
Anyway won't be long until its hatch watch, and we see our first wee bobblehead!
Karen I don't drink Coffee so no excuse. :-)
Its a beautiful day all around it seems, great for incubating females and hatchings.
