A new month and lots to look forward to as we eagerly await these precious eggs which Maya and Blue 33(11) have devotedly protected, hatch!
For anyone new and just starting to watch the Rutland Manton Bay Webcam, here is a brief summary of the 2016 season so far:
The resident female, Maya returned 21 March. Her mate Blue 33(11) returned 27 March. Maya has laid three eggs, #1 on 4 April, #2 on 7 April and #3 on 10 April. Maya and 33(11) are currently sharing incubating duties and we should see a hatch around the second week in May.
Happy viewing

Good morning Karen.
Birdies LG DU update.
Good Morning MIKE and KAREN It looks nice sunny day
Hi Mike & Patily -
Yes it does look nice and seemingly temperatures are now on the rise so perfect for hatching. I am looking so forward to seeing the first chick :-)
33 continues to incubate
Quick check of the eggs :-) I wonder when they can start to hear the chick?
Being so attentive :-)
Hi Patily.
Maya is calling ... I wonder if 33 has a fish or if she just wants a break?
I wondered that too Karen, are they already moving around in the egg?
I don't know Jane. Still another few days till hatching but from Maya's behaviour I suspect they can hear something or could be that she is now beginning to listen for the tapping.
She has just checked them again.
