EJ retired on an empty stomach, only to be descended upon by serious snow showers.
Thanks to CHOCO and MOFFER for snaps.
Right now it's not snowing and we can tell she's got feathers, that's something!
IMAGICAT
Squeaky chirps from EJ - what's that about? Intruder?

Maybe she just wants a break? No intruder indicated. Hope she didn't spot something wrong with her eggs.
Just a shorty:
I bet she wants a break. I'm sure the eggs are OK - we haven't seen anything untoward going on around them.
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
FISH!!!!!!! 07:44:
Did Odin drop a fish in the eggcup? To be continued.
Continuation
A part-fish not to be sniffed at, dropped between the two of them as the result of the usual tug-o-fish:
Odin gave a stick a masterful tug too:
Fish in proportion to EJ, it's not bad:
Off she goes:
Down he sits and looks after his departed loved one:
"Hero Odin with fish @ 0734hr"
He really is Odin the Magnificent. I can go to work with a smile on my face now!
Great stuff, Odin!
(Thanks for responses to my ditty)
See you all later!

What ditty? thought I, so I went back and found it and it was well worth looking for. Thank you, LINDYBIRD :-)
Thank you for all the early reports especially Scylla with all your hassles. Love the poem Lindybird. EJ did a wonderful job in the snow and OtM didn't let her down. A fish just when she (and we ) needed it. I can go out breathing more easily now. Forecast still doesn't look good but it looks as if our wonderful Ospreys can cope.
