Daily Update (Loch Garten Nest) Saturday 16th April 2016

  • Blimey.  Still no fish?  She must be hungry enough to literally eat a whale.

Our herring gulls are red listed birds.  Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.

  • Think she's given up on getting her fish.I've got a couple of trout in my freezer, just wish I could give her them.

That would be great, wouldn't it?  I don't think she's given up though.  It's just that there's no point in calling if there's nobody to call to.

  • I wonder where Odin has been for the last 5 hours. I hope he's not chasing intruders away. If so, it could be what EJ is looking up at periodically.

  • EJ has certainly been very alert at times, but whatever is happening it is not close enough to the nest to worry her.  I have just checked RSPB Operation Osprey FB just in case they have any news, but no.  Only 'keep your dogs on leads near Capers', and the snowy scene first thing.

  • A very gentle tweet or two, and still looking around her, sometimes alert, at other times relaxed.

Odin arrived fishless back at 13.03, and flew at 13.06, and he hasn't been seen by anyone here since then.

  • The sun has gone and it's clouding over.  I am afraid I have to leave you.  Been invited to neighbours for supper and a film.  I will try and catch up later, but no guarantees.  Come back Odin!  And preferably with a fish

  • Indeed. We need a fish! Certainly EJ does.

  • Hopefully EJ's calls  mean a fish is on its way.

Warning!  This post contains atrocious spelling, and terrible grammar.  Approach with extreme edginess.
