It was wonderful to see both Maya and Blue 33(11) return much earlier this year. Maya arrived back on the 21 March and 33(11) on 27 March .
Since arriving back Maya and 33 have reestablished their partnership and are busy preparing their nest to hold these precious eggs which we so eagerly await.
Maya laid her eggs after 9 days last year so we could see eggs anytime from 6 April.
Egg all alone 8.21p.m., but now being kept warm for the night...
I thought I'd post a snap of Maya incubating, but look what I found :-/

About half an hour after I posted the above:

Not sure if there is an intruder around, but 33 was incubating, and both were looking up above.
Then Maya flapped a bit as she was going to take over
Then this stick caught her eye and she had a bit of a struggle with it.
5 mins later she is still tussling with it. Also looking around her as well.
Now 33 has flown in to help and Maya flies off.
I think there is an intruder and Maya is chasing it off.
Back and incubating. Still one egg.
Birdies LG DU update.
