HAPPY NEW WEEK and HAPPY SPRING EQUINOX!
Last week's Chat thread is here.
Everyone have a wonderful week!
Left this a bit late, so will just say all went well at hospital, as expected, so Carlisle have discharged me back to Dumfries - where I was already seen anyway!
Excellent lunch at OTB - had the fishcakes again, OH had all-day full Scottish breakfast - and some of my chips! Manager Toni is leaving for a new post, so we have booked lunch on her last day there!
J is feeling quite a lot better today, and intends getting to work tomorrow - last day of term. We have decided it was flu he had, as he slept so much, ached a lot and totally wasn't himself. OH is now sneezing, so just hoping his is "just" a cold.
Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!
Heather my only knowledge of the road runner was from a cartoon character when girls were small.
Can't believe I have been home a week... Need another fix but sadly not yet.
Glad all is OK, OG! I would have preferred fish cakes, too - I love a nice fish cake. My tablet doesn't like my putting them on as one word, either! Does sound as if J has had either flu or a nasty virus. Hope he makes it to work tomorrow.
OG - Glad all went well at the hospital. I would have had the fishcakes,(predictive text wanted to write 'gobsmacked'). My OH would have attempted the all day breakfast. Great that you will be there on manager's last day.
Fingers crossed that your OH doesn't have J' s nasty virus.
HeatherB - was reading an article about the "security" problems in Belgium about 2/3 weeks ago on the BBC website - it seems that the country is divided into areas/cantons and each area has it's own police force, and it is suspected they don't "talk" to each other very often, so they have major issues. Seems like a good time to have a single police force for the country!!
Back to the rain here again - shame as we have had some cracking days recently over last 2 weeks - wall to wall sunshine and the most mazing blue skies.
I should think it is Heather, a more substantial meal is called for.

OG - glad to read your cousins are safe.
HeatherB - although dau is anxious re OH because he has to travel to France let's hope she can keep reasonably calm for him.Glad you had an unexpected end to your day, its always nice when the unexpected happens.
Lindy - maybe that can be the new trend, shredded wallpaper on the walls. Seriously though, hope you manage to find a solution.
OG - glad to hear your hospital appointment went well and that you enjoyed your lunch at OTB. They obviously have a reputation to keep up after manager left!!
Had a text tonight from my brothers partner to say that his cat, Percy, had died on the operating table undergoing a second op. He was obviously still traumatised by the RTA and his injuries must have been quite horrific. Brother in bits so am going to text him in the morning. His partner is doing her best to support him as his cat was his constant companion, he lived alone.
Lynette: Oh dear, sorry about your bro's cat. What a shame. How old was Percy? It's probably not the time to suggest an immediate replacement, but maybe down the road....?
Busy day here.
