Really sad news about Beatrice. I was concerned about her.

I am absolutely gutted. I had fears from the last update but so hoped I was wrong. So so sad an ending for such a lady.
Thank you Mike.
I was really hoping the transmitter had failed. How terribly sad.

So very sad to read of the passing of such a regal bird.

This is really sad news. Beatrice taught us, through RD's blogs, so much about Ospreys. I think we probably all felt we knew her. A very sad start to the Osprey season.
Kind regards
Jenny
Such sad news. I guess in my heart I began to worry too, when she was moving around such a lot, and not making any northward progress. Thank you Mike for contacting RD on our behalf. I am sure he will have appreciated it.

Special sympathy to you, MARY.
Thank you for writing to Roy on our behalf, MIKE.
Thank you, TIGER, for being the bearer of this very sad news.
EDIT - Having now read Roy's blog - it's horrible to think of Beatrice striving and striving to find viable fishing, and wasting away.

Very sad, although I agree that it is good the death seems to have been entirely due to natural causes brought on by the weather. But Beatrice has left a wonderful legacy, in her many
offspring and the information she has enabled us to collect over the years.
Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!
Sad to see the news about Beatrice, a sad start to the new season.
Really sad news. With the loss of Blue XD also, this is not a good start to the season. However France is awash with ospreys today so I expect many successful returns in the coming days.
