We're up!
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
Thanks Scylla and Moffer for captures.
I am wondering when we are going to get a blog!! It must be about a fortnight now and I'm sure in the last one there was a comment that we would get some pic showing the rigmarole of setting the cam up.
Shame about no sound, I hope they manage to sort it. Hopefully we'll get an update soon.
Information blackout - what's new?
IMAGICAT
I've just written to Peter and Toby at Carnyx pointing that EJ could be home within 2 days, if history is anything to go by - and that we have no sound on the nest, and a couple of other things.
For one thing - we don't know if they (LG) know that there's no sound - if everything's wonderful in the VC they may think it is for us onliners too :-/
We just don't know... anything!
I'm off for a while now, I have no hope of VCL keeping going for more than an hour max, maybe less than 15 minutes, from experience so far.
Just because we're not expecting EJ or Odin today, doesn't mean them damn intruders won't be earlybirds :o :o :o
I tried to ring the VC, but they're not open yet. April 1st if memory is correct, so there's no way of letting them know directly.
I also have emailed HQ and Carnyx about the sound. Fingers crossed that it will be fixed soon.
Birdie Num Num's brilliant DU summary 2017
Thanks, MOFFER.
Just noticed an email from Peter Carnyx saying he will look into "things" on Monday - received it today in reply to my email a week ago - maybe he was on holiday.
Thanks SCYLLA. Fingers crossed.
This may be the third night running we've had a nice nightnest to look at - come on, Pine Marten, test it out! Just don't dig any holes !!!

No, he's away dealing with other cams, this is a busy time for him, as we can imagine.
