The purpose of this thread is to record observations, activity and captures of Rutland’s Manton Bay nest throughout the season.
The nest at Manton Bay has been in use since 2007 and its history can be found here.
I am sure I speak for us all in wishing Maya and Blue 33(11) a safe journey home and for another successful season at Manton Bay.
Now back on the EG, phew!

Good Morning
This one definitely thinks its an Osprey.
EJ's Memorial Balgavies Loch Ospreys 2023
WOW that EG has turned into an Osprey am I seeing things....
I took a capture and I can't find the damn thing.....
Edit: Blast I was so excited I forgot to save the damn thing!!!!
Scylla are you recording Rutland, if so please check your recordings, I am positive I seen an un-ringed Osprey on the nest.
YEAH I found it - was still in the snipping tool.....
Are their other un-ringed ospreys in and around Rutland???
WOW I wonder if this is Maya, pity she hadn't turned her head so we could see the cross on it.
Where is everyone, LOL....
Wish she would come back......
Morning all! Thought I was seeing things, had only just woken up! Well done Mary for getting the screengrab though...
It could be Maya... Definitely looks female... The only unringed osprey I can think of at Rutland is 03(97)'s partner and she is usually an early returnee too, so could be her too...

At last someone to respond...... felt like saying in a low voice "Is anybody there" LOL....
Thanks Choco, it may be Mrs. 03 then, but I think it must be Maya chasing off that darned EG
