Hallo all:
Lindybird- Have a lovely holiday, look forward to hearing about it.
Lindy: Have a lovely time with lots of sunshine! It will be very quiet on here without you.
Clare: A shame about the mix up on your MiL's death certificate; no wonder Limpy was even more upset. Hope the 11th will mark a turning point - perhaps the end of one phase of the process.
Heather: Oh good that you can go on holiday - that'll be about the time Lindybird gets back I think. Happy birthday for your special day (when is it?)
Lovely coolish day and even nicer now that the sun is going down a whole hour earlier!
Lindy: Have a wonderful holiday!!! I hope you and your OH relax and enjoy yourselves thoroughly!
Foggy start here - and looks like most of UK - I wonder whether Linda and OH got away this morning or are starting their hol with an extended wait at Manchester airport?
Just been organising my meds - one piece of paper says bring a list, another says bring the actual meds, so I have organised them into a large box cos they insist they should be in original packaging! Of course, I also had to copy the list onto the back of both appointment letters too! Waiting for J to set off to work, then OH can shower to go for his flu jab, then I can get hosed down!
Annette – I usually use a mix of mayo and Greek yog for pasta salad. Speed limits were in mph – one thing where the UK has not yet metricated/metricised (which is it?) – it is ridiculous living with two measurement systems, as we have been for many years now! Husky wrestling is not a good way to start the day; glad you found his home.
Clare – these long waits for funerals are not good for the family, although we found recently that they do allow distant attenders time to plan accommodation and travel. Thinking of you, and especially Limpy and Clare – and sorry about the distressing mistakes over the paperwork.
Rosy – sampling wine AND chocolate – you won’t want to come home!
Heather – sorry, I have forgotten when and where you are going on holiday, although I do remember that it is not the usual Tenerife! Ah, vague thought: is it Madiera? Sounds as if your Daughter has a good support structure of friends, plus her sisters! I don’t seem to have your birthday on my list: is it while you are away? Please forgive all the questions!
J gone in the fog – pleased he is working in Annan and doesn’t have that drive to Dumfries as he did last year! I’ll be back later.
Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!

Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
Good Afternoon, The fog has cleared and we have some sunshine.I have spent this morning thoroughly cleaning the bathrooms, including the wall tiles and have started the ironing.
OG, Watching the news, I think you will be correct about Linda's flight being delayed this morning. They were due to be on a very early flight.I had a conversation with my son this morning about what clothes he will need when he comes home. He had heard that the weather was mild here. I did say that it was mild for November, but the temperature in out garden was only 11.8c and he will definitely need some winter clothes, especially as they are now used to temperatures in the mid thirties C.
Annette, What a way to start the day, with a excited husky in the garden. At least you know where to return it, next time !!
Clare, Sorry you have had problems. {{ HUGS}} to you, Limply and Helen.
Heather, Pleased to read that your daughter will have help and that you will be going on holiday.
I must get ready. Playing bowls this afternoon. SYAL.
Hello all
A lovely bright day here but aware that lots of flights have been delayed due to fog. Fingers crossed that LINDY has now arrived in Malta.
Gee whizz, it never rains but it pours. Now middle daughter(Amy's mum) has some kind of problem with her neck. Pain, quite bad and also across shoulder blades. Her GP has prescribed a very few diazepam tablets and an NSAID. As of right now, OH and I are alive and kicking. Just as well :-)
OG/ANNETTE Yes, it is Madeira. We have been there several times before and enjoyed it. Not too hot,as neither of us are sunbathers. I didn't want any birthday fuss so thought we would go away. My children have their own ideas though and hence the meal out before the actual birthday. They take absolutely no notice of anything I say, these days :-(
lurker back from her trip down south..
Clare a long time to wait but looks as though you are all happy with arrangements now.
Did everything I wanted to do during our 2 nights in Stirling.
Walked all the way up the Wallace monument (there is a mini bus)
Saw the new Bond film very good not as many laughs and sound a tad loud.
Stirling Castle which was going to be a quick glance but found an amazing tour guide and we were there 3 hours.
Afternoon down to se the Kelpies which are the most amazing piece of art. Took the tour as then you go inside and luckily just 4 of us on it, Cant wait to return to see them lit.
Back via St Andrews Glenshee and Braemar.
Picking Daisy up tomorrow morning and I think she will be looking forward to a cup of tea and her woodburner:-)
WENDY- sounds as if you got a lot done!
Heather yes we did and I have missed doing this sort of thing since daughter dog came to live over 3 years ago. I do love her to bits but as never having a dog have found her a tie. So to go away had to wait for daughter to stay. Its taken that long to find a kennel that I would leave her in. Some out there are very iffy and some have cats and that's a total nono as Daisy only hates one thing and its a cat.
So here's to the next time....
