As usual, Monty is still with us into September (although his family all seem to have gone) - and there's always Blue 24....

I think the rain has stopped.
I must retire now. Thanks for all your comments/ pics today. GN.
Thank you, Brenda, have a good night :-* I'm off to sleep very shortly.
Monty's late afternoon/evening with fish, which he dropped!
Two visits by the BARN OWL - cam-jams meant we didn't get such a good view. It also pottered on the side of the nest and perched on other perches.
EDIT - Duplicate of Monty-with-fish replaced with BARN OWL visits! Thank you BIRDSONG!

Thank you Brenda and Scylla for the owl visits. So poor Monty had no takers for his huge fish. At least he will have had a good meal if he were to set off tomorrow. What will tomorow bring?

Scylla, so good to have your video of Monty until we couldn't see him any longer - just in case he goes very early this morning...
P.S. You've posted the same video twice at 10:25pm? Was the first one meant to be of the owl? I missed that completely live!
Thank you BIRDSONG. The barn owl visits were disappointing because the cam stuck. I'm just going to check if there's been any more activity on the nest.
Just watched your replaced owl video - wonderful to hear the sounds. So strange that we're watching a Barn Owl on the nest but I think all the sounds were Tawny Owls (never thought of it as kitten squeals!). The male is doing his usual twooos with the female answering kerwicks (the Twit Twoo duet).
Edit: I think Ems was trying to get a close up of the leg as one of the Barn Owls was seen to be ringed.
It's been like Clapham Junction here on the Cors Dyfi!!!
No further visitors thru the night, as far as I can see.

Yes he was.

Well I never!!! Thank you BIRDSONG, I've never heard Tawny Owls besides their kinda trilling call. Also, you've made me realise I need to listen with the volume higher - I can't do that routinely because of other nests on the go here.
Cows and corvids out in force, no-one seen tho.
