Sadly the month of August could see the departure of the Lowes Famiily, it has been a great season for them with 3 beautiful juveniles, may they all stay safe and have long lives ahead of them.
Two on the nest at the moment.

Not sure if this is Laddie defending nest territory.

SUNNYKATE2 - Your posting at 10:42 - What a Whopper.
Here is the male delivering that whopper.
I think it was FR4 on the nest - She was unhindered for about 2 hours tucking into this fish without any disturbance. She was getting annoyed and screeching dragging the fish around the nest because she was trying to free it as it was stuck to her talon.
I will try and post some pictures of the family out and about away from the nest later on - All five were around but scattered about.
A couple of the other chicks spent time off the nest.
The female spent most of the day on the flat tree on the frustration nest that had been half built last year and sticks added this year. Maybe she is ensuring no other female wants to get cosy on it with the male.
Forgot to mention - After sitting on the alternative nest the female perched on a dead branch sticking out of the loch then went for a long swim only her head visible above water. First time I have seen an osprey swim so long. Sorry about quality had to point and shoot without altering for loch glare.
Brilliant photos Keith, looks like you had a great day out.

Keith lovely photos, you are so lucky to be able to visit several of the Nests, and good to read and see the delivery of that whopper. Thank you so much for all your posts.
Good morning Mary.
The two sat tagged birds eating. One has a large white feather sticking out.
Birdies LG DU update.
FR4 at the front and Fr3 at the back both eating and Fr2 to the right middle , shouting as usual.

FR2 tries to get at the fish and gets short shrift from FR4! FR3 has flown.
