Sadly the month of August could see the departure of the Lowes Famiily, it has been a great season for them with 3 beautiful juveniles, may they all stay safe and have long lives ahead of them.
Two on the nest at the moment.

Good morning everyone :-) ~10:49 FISH!!!!!
But instead of grabbing the fish the juvie grabs poor old Laddie's talon!
Still tugging at Laddie the juvie could have lost the fish to it's newly arrived sibling.....
Eventually Laddie escapes and juvie gets fish......
All on the nest now...........

FR3 'honk' alarming at pesky crow ;-)
Hello TBoL,
So glad you captured Laddie delivering the fish this morning. I was there this morning when Laddie brought the fish in, I didn't manage to get a photo of it.
When we arrived there was only one on the nest shouting very loudly. Laddie brought the fish in and I missed the photo as I was watching him arrive, the others flew in, one had been perched in the Silver Birch Tree, Lassie was preening on the flat topped tree not bothering about any of it. The three juveniles stayed on the nest for ever, shouting plenty when the intruder appeared, the female seen it off, chasing it higher and higher in the sky.
I noticed that only one lay flat to the nest during the intrusion, other two were watching it all going on lol....
Will post some photos, they are not great or very sharp, but it shows what you have posted above from the hide view. The visitor centre was very busy.

Keep getting error messages when trying to post.
Looks as though you had a lovely day Mary, thanks for the photos,
as you say all the more as they show us a different view of the nest, and can relate to how the centre must be so well visited and enjoyed, that last shot very poignant.
Much appreciated.from a deep down south Devonian,I am very lucky indeed if I manage to glimpse an osprey either returning, or starting its long journey.
Hi MARY, great photos :-) Must go there one day. The talon grabbing episode was funny...best seen on video. Not sure how funny Laddie thought it was but they are tough birds :-) tBoL x
Super photos of your day out Mary, thank you!
