We await clarification on yesterday's intruders, as the Centre seemed to be even more confused than we were by the fast-moving action - much of which was sans EJ, who was punished for her absence with derisory fish.
Beautiful young (sounded it, anyway) female:
Blue-ringed (but it could be an artefact in the poor stream?) male:
Nice pose:
Unusual osprey with multi-coloured tail:
I don't know who's who or what's what.
IMAGICAT
Nice nest but it's a buffery night:
Very quiet night, sound on 'n off due to buffering every few seconds. Should keep one on one's toes ;-)
Getting lighter.
I may be able to hear skydancing - so far away... can't be certain.
I think there is skydancing between the buffers. Can't do anything about it.
Yes! Unmistakeable now ;-D
How frustrating when you know Odin's landing could occur during a buffer and there's nothing you can do because, if you refresh, that would just extend the freeze. Dang.
Fading now but still singing.
He's still at it!
Skydancing stopped, I thought I heard wings, tapped snapshot hotkey a hundred times (to get a live shot for a change)... no landing :-/
EDIT - we definitely had a bird fly in, but it didn't land on the nest.
Silence continues. Getting lighter.
MORNING SCYLLA
Thanks for starting the thread and for ALL your overnight captures ad posts.
We have all seen intruders before over the years, but none so persistent as this years.
There have been so many this season I cannot remember if the unringed (EJ lookalike) of yesterday was one of the intruders before earlier in the season or not.
Lets hope its business as usual today and Odin brings his early morning fish to EJ. :-)
