Yesterday - THREE fish deliveries, an unidentified intruder intrepidly landing beside Odin, and a host of fabulous captures of EJ and Odin all around their domain and on the nest.
Tonight - a good night for Odin to pose for us:
IMAGICAT
Odin (I think) in the distant tree.
Birdie Num Num's brilliant DU summary 2017
Another pan around the area, freezing and sound going, then on the move again until finally returning to EJ or Odin! either on the dead tree in the distance of on a branch behind it.
The far view
Tree cam view
and back to EJ possibly Odin! who has now turned around
I hope you have a delicious birthday lunch with your daughter!

I see we have a discrepancy in ID! I thought the darker band suggested EJ, but the pixilation is very misleading, and it now looks more Odin-ish!
It could be either or neither Sheila. Remember a couple of weeks ago we saw a bird eating fish not far from FH, and we said it looked female but not EJ. We were right! The blog mentions a fish eating intruder that Odin had to shoo away. We watched that live :)
I can't stay and study today, have to get ready.
Cam on the move again. And back to the osprey on the far dead tree
I would say that's definitely Odin.
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
Thank you Clare!
Odin is still sitting on the left side on a long branch of the far dead tree. No sign of EJ after a recent pan of the reserve.
A slightly closer view of Odin, offset.
A new, long, view of the nest from tree cam.
The foliage in the foreground it blowing around.
I'm not sure whether Odin had flown, the cam went down for me for a while, and then I was distracted - a bit to eat!
Cam on the move again. And back to Odin in the far dead tree!
