Hallo all:
OG: Love the photo of the two ducks (not sure which kind). But which of you got down on the ground to get that shot? The details on the drake are really striking.
Heather: I remember Circassian Circles - but only the name! What a wonderful time you had, sounds like so much fun.
Rita: Congratulations on your knee. Good for you. Seems like a lots of folks on here will be happy to cheer you along in rehab. :-) Do you have one of those walkers? (I think they call them Zimmer frames over there).
I'll be up at 6 a.m. to watch Federer/Djokovich game.
Here's to a good week for everyone and hope Margo is doing okay.
I've just been listening to the Bee Gees and I was reminded of this terrific Kenny Everett sketch! He used to have me in absolute stitches.
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
Lindybird said:CLARE - LOL!! I always laughed at Kenny's silly jokes, some of it was very clever. I don't recall that particular sketch but I may have just forgotten. I do laugh a lot at things like the Parkinson interview, where he says its all "in the best possible taste!". !!!!!!! Shame he passed away so young.
Djokavitch taken the first set !!
I don't remember that video, Clare, but I did enjoy watching it. He was brilliant.
The greyhound will not be 'put down'. They say that they never destroy any of their dogs. He had a very successful racing career, now 7years old, and is obviously very used to a kennel life, but is not suited to a domestic life. Our daughter had taken some holiday for him to settle in while she was around and had arranged for a walker to take him out twice a day, while she was on day shifts. Such a pity it didn't work out, but I was happy to hear that the dog had been returned, as I was afraid that it could really hurt somebody.
Morning all:
LizLFW: Got your message - and thanks also for explaining about the "new" Brittania.
Brenda: What a shame about the greyhound. Doesn't sound promising; wonder what the kennels will do with a dog that can't be placed...
OG: That's a very low setting on your scooter; conjures up visions of a mobility sledge! Would never dream for a minute that anyone would get food poisoning from your cooking!
Clare: I was never a BeeGees fan - couldn't quite get over the voices, the hair, etc. I kept wondering if they were popping estrogen supplements. Anyway, great that Helen is well enough to spend the night at a friend's.
Lindybird: Can't understand secrecy about things like bridesmaids' dress color. What is the rationale I wonder? Sounds like your outfit will be versatile enough to fit in. You'll have to let us know - maybe post of group photo from the necks down?
Men's final proceeding as anticipated. Have written off this morning in terms of accomplishing much... Back later.

I wonder if the dog needs a particular kind of person to attach himself to?[/quote]I agree its good that they don't put them down. Perhaps he's only suited to a kennels kind of life as he's now institutionalised. Very sad, but a lot of animals don't have an ideal life :-(

By the way the first Loch of the Lowes chick has fledged!
