Where we are now, according to our MOFFER:
They, especially EJ are spending less and less time on the nest. In fact she only comes when she wants fish, and even then she's started landing on the campost, or to defend the nest from female intruders.
Odin bless him, is still living in hope I think. Skydancing, keeping the nest tidy, bringing in sticks and defending it. Even that seems to go in fits and starts now.
~~~~~~~~~~~~
Nasty hail and rain yesterday, our birds not seen on the nest for many, many hours. We look forward to the sound and sight of Odin very soon this morning.
IMAGICAT
Hello you two. I would love to see EJ if even briefly, eating her fish on a tree. ENS is hard. But helps knowing they around, thanks to Valerie!
I thought there might be a BTO ring on the right leg:
Scylla, I think you're right.
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
EJ!
EJ on the nest, followed by a mantling Odin :-)
Both of them now:
EJ and Odin on the nest
Odin certainly means business!
