Better get started - our birds, Odin most likely, could be active very soon!
Altho... he might have needed an extra sleep after the tensions of an impostor intruder yesterday (so well covered by LG's campeople and our bloggers) and possibly two late fishing trips.
Our view tonight:

Bless him!
Bark is an important element on an Osprey nest for adults sitting on eggs. Their beaks are made of the same stuff that our finger nails are made of, and have to be maintained to avoid too much growth. Adults sitting, use bark like we use a nail file. All very interesting. Ems wrote a piece on it in a Dyfi blog earlier in the year.
Now why Odin thinks that bark would be useful now, is probably the same reason that he's sitting in the cup. Broody?
That's really interesting Moffer, thanks for that snippet. It may explain why a brooding or incubating adult will appear to break off pieces of wood from twigs. I expect he misses sitting on the eggs, as much as EJ did when she refused to leave that dud egg.
Dinner calls, and an evening with Andy Murray!
ENS just now.

Odin's back again. He's having a potter with soft peeps.
