On a (by turns) hot, cool, dry, wet, still, windy day... Odin spent his time eating, nestorising, and, all too often, defending - putting the fear of god into allcomers.

He seems satisfied all is OK now. Stopped calling, but looking wary

Gone
Odin morphed back on the nest. Again I heard flaps after the cam showed his presence. Most confusing.
A late good morning to all and a big thank you to the early birds for all the photos and updates. Nice to see our pair on the nest. Do we know who the intruder is?
Oh right, I'm back in.
I'm on snail's pace today, sorry.
There was a post on FB earlier (closed group) that said that there were "a few" intruders around yesterday. Looks as if it's a repeat again today.

RUSTY the intruder didn't land, it just did enough to get Odin worked up :)
No need to apologise MOFFER. Thanks for the comment about the intruders. I think we generally glean those, what we don't know is if/when one of our two is nearby. Are they both together when we have ENS, is one on a nearby tree when one is on the nest, but continually looking towards a perch somewhere!!!
Another plane passes over the Forest.
I'm going to have to go for a while. SYL.
Bye. ENS
12.09 Odin has arrived.
