SUMMERTIME - and the livin' is easy
Fish are jumpin'
And the Flowers are high
One of these mornin's
You're gonna rise up singin'
Then you'll spread your wing's
And you'll take to the sky.
Dinner time at Dyfi, in the rain it seems. The youngsters are being fed. Also feeding themselves or at least attempting to.
Manton Bay just relaxing and preening in the sun. Should see some helicoptering soon, if I could watch long enough at a time. Maybe they alredy are, and I am missing it.
JUNE - The osprey young at Manton Bay have been jumping and helicoptering for some time and could fledge any time now.
A little behind Loch of the Lowes which fledged two of the three chicks yesterday (Missed this as I was in St Andrews for a game of golf) however going to the nest on Wednesday before going back to St Andrews to watch The Open.
Will Andy be playing?. If so, I'm rooting for him. Or any Scottish player as I like to see the title stay in the home of golf. Is this the one with the crazy rules?
I have seen lots of wing exercising at Manton aand a wee bid of small jumping but I have missed any actual helecoptering
Just had aa nice storm here. Turned dark with high winds and heavy blowing rain. Tried for pictures, but couldn't catch any that looked stormy.
THE 144TH Open CHAMPIONSHIP FROM THE HOME OF GOLF.
June - Think you are mixing the sport with Tennis (Andy Murray) the boy from Dunblane.
June, Your flowers and plants are lovely! Does your orchid have a lovely scent? They seem to have bred the scent out of most orchids, unfortunately.
Keith, We went to Chatham Dockyards many years ago and especially liked the demonstration of rope-making, done in a very long shed. Is that still going?
Kind regards, Ann

I think I am too Keith!!!! But I'm pretty sure it was Golf that I tried to follow a year or so ago and was completely lost because of strange rules that you tried to explain to me.
A few days ago I started to say I'm sorry Andy didn't go further at Wimbledon, but stopped myself, thinking No, he's a golfer.
SO, have I got this right??? :)
I'm sorry your boy Andy did not win the title at Wimbledon.
I hope Scotland has some good entries at St Andrews and I really would like to see one go all the way to the top.
Gardenbirder, I buy orchids not as houseplants to keep forever, but as cut flowers. They last a long time and I think they are a bargain just thinking of them as a temp bouquet. Then after the flowers go I keep them as long as the plant lives. This is the third one I have had to REbloom.
They have no noticeable fragrance.
Good evening all. June I love your garden pics specially the orchid!
June I think Andy Murray played very well and specially as he was up against very stiff competition Federer. I dont watch tennis or Golf but my mum used to be mad on watching Wimbledon :) I think of her with a smile when her "player" is on!
The closest ive come to playing golf is the "put put" in beach resorts :)
