I think EJ has told him to tidy up the nest as she

is family planning. Hope we have a long late summer if that's so.

Recently returned home and tuned in to see night cam come on then EJ land on nest and go to incubate her egg - her hormones / instincts must be all over the place. After all the 'beginning of the season' behaviour today, I'm seriously concerned she may be building up to laying an egg!

If the presence of the old egg stops that perhaps it has a purpose after all.

Let's hope she is not thinking of laying an egg! Thanks for all today's posts

What made EJ fly?  It seemed she saw something, started calling, flapped and flew off,

So glad I had one last look before bed. EJ has flown.

Just to let you know I'm happy to start the new DU if nobody minds.

Just popping in before I head off to to he land of nod. EJ has abandoned her urges for now and the egg is left alone. Although I only drop in once in a while at present it has been a lovely day to see them both at home in each others company once more. I really can't imagine there will be more eggs at this late stage, but who knows what will happen. Meanwhile let us enjoy their company and see their bond grow once more.

I'm just posting this as a place-keeper, in case the recording shows anything worthwhile - then I won't have to worry about posting after LIMPY as finished off today's DU.

EDIT - I like to think that she saw Odin, she made contact calls and flew off to join him on his perch, and they would be a charming couple together on a branch like they were earlier today.
