It is a strange feeling to be starting a new thread with very little idea of what may or may not be happening later.
The big news of Wednesday was that EJ finally gave up on incubating the egg. I suppose the first point of interest will be how long the egg survives before it is predated.
We have been here before. In 2002, 2003, 2005 and 2007 the Loch Garten nest did not produce any chicks. People might like to look over the summary of 2003 2005 and 2007 seasons.

EJ gave a short call just then.......and again.

Is EJ heralding a fish? Are we back to the fruitless waiting game? Only time will tell ;-D

You are a champion multi-tasker, MOFFER, you won't let us miss much ;-)

Ah PAM, thank you. I felt in myself I was exactly that. Just had nothing to offer on the thread. Thanks for thinking bout me..My thoughts we with you all too but in regard to our 'pair' I did my best to bury my head. I have no idea how Jen and the Staff managed to 'carry on'. They have stood by us onliners so well this year and the idea of a coach load of visitors and the nest in such disarray with them all needing to be 'as 'normal' as possible and respond positively to those visitors ...... well, I have no idea how they all mentally coped
