It is a strange feeling to be starting a new thread with very little idea of what may or may not be happening later.
The big news of Wednesday was that EJ finally gave up on incubating the egg. I suppose the first point of interest will be how long the egg survives before it is predated.
We have been here before. In 2002, 2003, 2005 and 2007 the Loch Garten nest did not produce any chicks. People might like to look over the summary of 2003 2005 and 2007 seasons.

Morning Pam. I don't think there will be eggs, just reinforcing their bond. I'm so pleased to see it :)

Me too, great to think we will still be able to see them from time to time.
If you have any overnight footage Scylla, I'd be interested to know how the stick got moved and what time EJ returned.
Morning breakfast club!
Thanks for the pics Moffer - how nice to witness an early morning EJ and Odin bonding session

Morning Choco. It really was great.
What will the rest of the day bring I wonder.

Just popped back to tell you I'm working on a mini-super-duper video that went on while you were looking at the frozen screen, MOFFER. The buffering is terrible, like last night, am chopping out what I can.

Fantastic Scylla. Can't wait :D
EJ waits on a windswept nest.

After leaving the egg for so long yesterday and last night, I do hope that EJ doesn't now sit on it all day today, but gets herself some exercise and maybe some fish!
I think, rather than incubating, she is displaying to passing Ospreys that this nest is taken. I haven't seen her turn the egg at all.
