EJ hasn't called to Odin for 7 hours. I hope that he brings a nice big fish back with him.
The "intruder" could have been anything, eg, Crow or Buzzard in the no-fly zone. It gave up pretty quickly whatever it was. EJ is quiet and relaxed again now.
Birdie Num Num's brilliant DU summary 2017
Hello all. I was watching and reading from early morning but couldn't for whatever reason get the box up to post in. So, whilst it is here, I note that not a lot has happened although I would like to know that Odin is still not too far away. Hopefully the intruder was just a temporary thing. I don't think we or EJ and Odin can go through another sustained attack on the nest.
EJ checks on egg and is standing on the rim of the nest preening and stretching.
Egg doesn't look like just a shell now.
Interesting that EJ feels relaxed enough to preen on the edge of the nest

EJ returns to incubate egg.
Looking at BIRDIE'S pics and now on screen, the egg does seem to be intact.
Fascinating. Is she beginning to relax about the egg...??

EJ is calling for fish.
EDIT, another short burst and then quiet.
A call from EJ. She looks over her right shoulder this time. Cam keeps stopping, and is still now. Another call. I think Odin must be back with a fish, and on his perch. She is now looking over towards the 'perch'. Stopped calling and not looking.
Thanks for the night pics Birdie. The egg does look whole on them.
