I'm sure there are two male intruders, Scylla. We certainly saw them both in the video you got just after 8:00.
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.

I watched it again too Scylla and I see what you are saying about there being possibly two different birds too, it would be a very fast swing around for it to be the same bird coming in again from a different direction..

I have watched your video SCYLLA, several times. Does anyonw else hear a definite 'chip' a few times somewhere in the air around the nest? COULD it be we are all (hopefully) confused and in fact Odin IS around?

I think it was two different intruders as well. I still want to know who the 07:29 bird was, though. He sat there for some minutes with EJ not chasing him off.
