I did look as tho the eggs got a knock. This is shattering, whether the eggs are damaged or not :'(

I thought that Tiger. How much more can these eggs take?

Clare, that definitely wasn't Odin... it was Brazen the Orange Chested intruder

Yes, I know now I've had time to look at my captures and I've edited that post.
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.

The picture is not very good but one of the eggs does not look right. It might just be the pixellation.

Could there be TWO male intruders "at it"? If you watch this, it seems too early for the second lander to be the same as the first; and the first fled, looking scared, only a second or two before the second landed... if you see what I mean!
So my question has to be, who was this at 07:29?
EJ wasn't remotely mantling.

Or a splodge making it look broken :-/
I do not think I have ever seen this before. For the first time I understand why the male mantles before making a move. He is thinking that the female might be hostile.
I thought it was the intruder when he landed, but then EJ stayed very calm which is unlike her behaviour every other time he has tried to land on the nest, including every landing since then.
However, I now think it can't have been Odin, otherwise where has he been since then, and why would he leave EJ to defend the nest alone - unless he was chasing a 2nd intruder off somewhere?
It is very confusing!
