More intrusions yesterday but nothing like as aggressive as they have been. Odin caused concern, he was not seen on the nest for 9 hours but stamped his authority on it and on EJ when he did eventually appear, by pseudo-mating.
It's another windy night, EJ has just taken a 2-minute break - that's 2 minutes from getting up to sitting down, not 2 minutes in flight:
She returned from an unusual direction, hope you can recognise her legs in the top right:
Flaps:
Back on the eggs, alert, she is not sleeping yet as I type:
Gosh, I need to outline EJ's face, eyes and beak in that last snap, I can hardly pick her out myself :o
IMAGICAT
He floats in, fiddles with the sticks and then puts a piece of bark on EJ to move her and it worked!

He's here but without a fish:
She's up:
She has flown and Odin has settled.
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
Did EJ want another break, or was she asking for a fish! Odin is settling down on the eggs once more.

She looked very much less than impressed when he landed without one.
I think he is trying to catch up with the incubation after four or more days of turmoil. He can relax for a bit now... but don't forget the fish supper.
She's back:
Lovely. A little burst of sunshine :)Thank goodness that the wind has died down.
Odin is still close. EJ is calling her best soft tweets to him.
I find the way she can make such soft noises just amazing!
She's calling more insistently now.......but it's still gentle!
