More intrusions yesterday but nothing like as aggressive as they have been. Odin caused concern, he was not seen on the nest for 9 hours but stamped his authority on it and on EJ when he did eventually appear, by pseudo-mating.
It's another windy night, EJ has just taken a 2-minute break - that's 2 minutes from getting up to sitting down, not 2 minutes in flight:
She returned from an unusual direction, hope you can recognise her legs in the top right:
Flaps:
Back on the eggs, alert, she is not sleeping yet as I type:
Gosh, I need to outline EJ's face, eyes and beak in that last snap, I can hardly pick her out myself :o
IMAGICAT
Morning Everyone
EJ is just settling back down to incubate, oh I just heard the cuckoo, love hearing it!
CC enjoy your visit to Canada be it business or pleasure!
Edit: Is it EJ, hard to tell this morning
EJ's Memorial Balgavies Loch Ospreys 2023
Daycam on now, don't know what time as I haven't looked at it for a wee while.
Thanks for popping in, CC, have a safe journey home!
Morning MARY :-) I was listening to the cuckoo but had to make sure it wasn't a mourning dove from Starr Ranch, I've mistaken them before.
WIND!
It was a glary night:
With buffering morphing into outages:
EJ looked great:
DAYCAM 0521hr:
EJ looks nice 'n dry :-)
Morning again Scylla, - The buffering drives me nuts, everytime I got back to look at cam it is buffering and nothing I click on gets it back so have to close it down and open it back up again. Oh the joys! LOL...
EJ looking all around, probably scanning the skies for an intruder or more importantly "where's my breakfast fish Odin" LOL
As you say EJ looks nice and dry for now, cannot say the same for all the other poor females at Rutland, Dyfi and even Lowes.
Morning all. Thanks for the overnight posts.
Still windy at LG. At least it's dry. Chucking it down here in Bristol.
EJ waits.
Birdie Num Num's brilliant DU summary 2017
EJ is getting a windswept but interesting look....
She's waiting very quietly (Morning, MARY and MOFFER) so presumably Odin is nowhere in sight - certainly not with a fish.
Is THAT a twite, MOFFER? I really must hear a twite again.
Mind you, I remember it being a thinner sound.
No Scylla, your right Twite (sound of a flock) has a more wispy sound. That's Coal Tits.
