And so we begin another month. Osprey season is in full swing, with lots of action everywhere. ENJOY!
Cheers June, it looks lovely, but no idea where it is!
Is Lochter, Manton bay?
No vivenne, Lochter is near Inverurie in Scotland.

OH .... just seen this = is this Lochter? is this the answer to too many osprey, not enough nests??
To everyone who lives. lived. was born in.. Scotland. Hubby and me have been travelling Europe for 6 yrs , see some fantastic stuff but we both agree that the Highlands of Scotland are Gods Own Country.... Glencoe just takes my breathe away. I dont understand some dialects but would love to live there!!
Vivienne, do you use Google Earth Maps. I highly recommend them. If you don't already have GE on your computer it is free and easy to install. Then learn "streetwalk". Again it is easy and I find it so delightful, next best thing to being there in person.
By using this system, not only can you locate almost any town or address or business anywhere, you can actually walk the streets for example at the base of the Eiffle Tower or around the Vatican. Now some places one can actually walk up stairs (Mt Rushmore Park, USA) or along a sandy Beach.
Hi, June and everyone.
I thought I'd pop in here just briefly and post this link for anyone who knits or crochets. It's a chance to help baby birds survive.
Hope you all are well and enjoying the birdy season!
Now Diane, You don't really think I'm enjoying this season with nary a bobblehead nor an egg in our LG nest, do you? :(
But if you have been watching Gabfest, you will know that a local friend has been tending a bluebird nest in her backyard and that the 4 baby bluebirds left the nest yesterday. I am grateful for this as southwest Ohio needs all the additional bluebirds that we can get. Long may these four prosper and multiply.
Your little bird nests are adorable. Wish I had the skills to make a few, but I don't. I guess that another :(
June: I regret to say that I haven't seen a bluebird here on my patch for years. Best wishes to your local ones. I was very excited to see a beautiful male indigo bunting singing happily near my front door recently. Woo hoo!
Good morning all. Diane nice to see you on here. Thanks for the pic of the indigo bunting, he is truly spectacular! What a beauty!
Keith thankyou for the Lochter report and love the turkey story. What could be better than sitting in a cafe watching the ospreys:)
