And so we begin another month. Osprey season is in full swing, with lots of action everywhere. ENJOY!
Good morning all. A very windy and stormy night here last night! June thanks for the information about the capercaillie they are fascinating birds.
June you can always identify Manton Bays nest by the lumps of dried dung decorating the nest! Seems to be Blue33 s speciality! LOL

How about Lochter? How is the Cone Nest doing.?
Odin not seen for 24 hours and Intruder(s) landing freely on the nest with some posters quoting possible egg damage.
We will have to wait and see what LG say officially.
I was up in Aberdeen last week for 2 days but on the evening I went to Lochter the weather was attrocious. A single osprey was bunkered down in the nest and never saw the other. Will be back up shortly.
Sunday appears to be OK so will have my cameras at Dyfi and other areas.
Just this minute found this on Facebook.
All seemed peaceful and calm when I posted a picture of EJ incubating her eggs at 9:54 pm last night.
But oh how quickly things change on the Osprey Roller Coaster.
When Keith posted at 9:15 this morning disaster had erupted at LG with Oden missing and possible egg damage.
Then by noon RSPB reported that Odin was back on the job chasing an intruder. We just hope that concerns about egg damage were all mistaken.
Such is the Roller Coaster we ride.
At the moment EJ is incubating her eggs in peace. But Where is Odin? Where is the intruder?
Don't know if you have seen this update June, but here it is :(

Between lack of time, problems with my laptop I have not been watching any of the nests that much this year. The last time I checked I had hoped the intruders had given up so I'm so sad to read the latest blog.
Got everything crossed that Odin returns soon.
Thanks for your info Starling. As Valc said the LG situation is one huge NIGHTMARE!
We need a fish for EJ and a search party for Odin!
O, Dear Starling, O DEAR! indeed we do! and on WOBO Jessie is playing Wild Mountain Thyme mixed in a medley of Land Of Bonnie Scotland. Now Going home across the sea - all making me homesick for a place I've never been.
How am I supposed to get my paper work done??
