Our idyllic balloon has been punctured:
(1) By unexpected and significant snow. Odin has fished and EJ is toughing it out, and so must we.
(2) By an injury to Odin the Magnificent, his right leg is bloody on the outside. It happened between 4 and 6 yesterday afternoon and must have been caused either by an intruder (and LG are using the plural for yesterday) or a fishing accident. Odin is toughing it out, and so must we.
EJ has just taken a little exercise on the nest and is now back on her eggs.

Odin is on the nest and it looks like he's cleaning his beak. NO FISH! EJ is asking where is her fish?
Odin has arrived, EJ is chrruping, cam has zoomed in presumably to see the leg, but nothing is visible.
and most of the snow has gone.
Odin is pottering 13.08, EJ nagging gently

No sign of any blood on his leg :)
He has flown
There seemed to be no sign of yesterday's injury. It must have been superficial, and the blood washed off in the snow. That's a relief. Now time to go fishing Odin!
Do hope he's gone fishing MOFFER WENDY and SHEILA
Scylla Many thanks for the scrutiny of Odin's leg earlier today. Excellent detective work. Oh dear Keith, I'm not sure I like the idea of more snow, but I guess it is easier to deal with while incubating rather than with wiggling youngsters to keep dry.
EJ can see her man and is begging for fish. Hurry up Odin, the wind is getting up.
It is becoming a wee bit persistent, MOFFER!
