Our idyllic balloon has been punctured:
(1) By unexpected and significant snow. Odin has fished and EJ is toughing it out, and so must we.
(2) By an injury to Odin the Magnificent, his right leg is bloody on the outside. It happened between 4 and 6 yesterday afternoon and must have been caused either by an intruder (and LG are using the plural for yesterday) or a fishing accident. Odin is toughing it out, and so must we.
EJ has just taken a little exercise on the nest and is now back on her eggs.
IMAGICAT
BFN then PATILY
At least the chaffinch is cheerful
Male Osspreys can sure have it tough - feeding the family and protecting against intruders. What did this one think it was doing. A viable nest yes, but with sitting female and a male to hand! (haven't solved the windows problem :( still need to be very careful or the page just re arranges itself all over the place

Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
Good morning all. Odin just flew in to mate!!!
Birdie Num Num's brilliant DU summary 2017
Hi, Moffer! Well, that's one way of letting us know he's OK.
I think Odin must be OK, don't you?! ;-D
ha ha ha CLARE - well! SCYLLA . Looking now MIKE
Going to Tech thread MIKE
Has anyone seen the eggs in the last couple of hours? If EJ was going to lay a fourth, I think it would have happened by now. Fingers crossed that she sticks at three.
